Compared with the belt drive, this drive can only be used in the transmission of the parallel axis. What’s worse, its instantaneous velocity is not as stable as that of the belt drive. Especially when this drive operates at high speed, its stability is obviously poorer than that of the belt drive. Due to this shortcoming it is not suitable for the rapid transmission. Besides, the noise is louder.
